Definition  (definisi)

A type of letter (or informal composition) that usually concerns personal matters (rather than profesional concerns) and is sent from one individual to another. The main different between personal letter and other letter is the contain of the letter.

Purpose (Tujuan)

The purpose about the personal letter is to convey personal opinion or interest.

Generic Structure (Struktur)

-Place and Date: It tells about the specific time the letter is written;

- Recipient Address: It contains the complete postal address of the receiver of the message;

- Greeting: An interjaction that is used to open the conversation of the letter;

- Contents : Several paragraphs claborates the aim of the letter;

- Writer’s Hope: It states what the writer wishes for that the receiver of the message would do;

- Closing: A signature from the writer and the proper closing statement.

 

Language Feature (Ciri Kebahasaan)

1. Sentence Structure  

Accuracy of grammar may be more important than an email. Most of the time, complete sentence are expected

2. Style

Language use may be personal. For example, first and second person pronouns may be frequently used. May not be as formal as official letter writing.

3. Allowed to use contractions

Example : he’s, she’s, haven’t, they’re

4. Altough the tone of your letter is informal, please take note

  •Do not use offensive language

  • Use gramatically correct sentences

      Sekar Shafira is my name. I am a girl who was born in Watampone on Thursday,  December 1999, as a first daughter of Harjuna and Ernawati Mustafa S.P. First, I’ll explain about my name story. Sekar Shafira. Name ‘SEKAR’ provided by my mother and ‘SHAFIRA’ by my father. Sekar means flower so mother gave name Sekar, because it has the meaning of good.

     

       I have one brother and one sister, my sister named Chinta. She was Junior high school, And m y brother named Reza. He just start in kindergarten. My hobby is reading. I love to read the story, such as a short story. For me, read the short story is activities very pleasant. Usually I read the story if there is free time.   

      At the Age of 5 years old I go to school in kindergarten named TK Kemala Bhayangkari precisely in 2005, where I got good and bad experience. Good experience is having fun with friends and my bad experiences when I ran and drop to my knee bloody. I start  primary school in 2006 at 23 Jeppe’e Watampone Elementary school. At the time of the class 3 I followed the competition fashion show and represent my scholl at the Distric/City, and a get a champion although not champion one, but I am proud of the results I obtained. After study for 3 years and finish my exams graduated in 2008 in TPA Athira. In 2009 I vocation with family to Yogyakarta and well as to attend my cousin, and I visiting some of the Temple like Borobudur, Prambanan, and Mendut. 

      After 6 years exactly the academic year 2012/2013 I passed my study in Elementary 23 Jeppe’e. Then I continued study in Junior High School Number 1 Watampone. In Junior high school I get a lot of a new friend as friend Elementery I am not a lot of the school. 

      In 2015, I passed my study Junior High School Number 1 Watampone, and I continued in Senior High School Number 1 Watampone. In Senior High School , I get in mathematics natural science as for me, subjects in the department of science is challenging and science to be sure. After that every student Senior High School must follow LDKS, all student spend the night in the school and receive the material until midnight and it was very tiring. And in 2017 did not feel I was up to class XI.
